Welcome to the Technospeak training web site. Your access to and use of the Site are governed by our Terms of Use of which this Privacy Policy is an integral part. We are firmly committed to protecting your privacy and believe you have a right to know what personal information we collect, how we use it and how we may disclose it. All of these things are set out below.COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
In order to become a User of the Site, your employer provides us with certain information about you (e.g. your name and email address) and about your software environment (e.g. operating system and Office version). Your employer also tells us the specific Courses for which you are being registered and asks to be kept informed of your progress.
When you use the Site, we record the date and time of your main activities such as when you log in/out, complete lessons and submit assessments. In the case of assessments, we also store your answers and your overall results.
We provide various channels for you to be able to interact with us and with other Users. For example, you can add comments to lessons, participate in a user forum and contact us by email. We store all of this information for as long as we deem necessary.
We may choose to collect information automatically about your computer when you visit the Site. For example, we may collect your IP address or store information about which web browser software you are using. We may also store a "cookie" (a small text file) on your computer's hard disk so that we are able to remember who you are.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will use personal information about you for the following general purposes:
- to provide you with Materials for the Courses for which you are registered;
- to respond to your questions and comments via email or other means;
- to keep your employer informed of your study activities and progress;
- to improve the Site and the Materials;
- to troubleshoot problems;
- to prevent potentially illegal activities; and
- to enforce our Terms of Use.
DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose personal information if we deem it advisable or necessary in the following special circumstances:
- to conform to legal, statutory or regulatory requirements;
- to protect the perceived rights, safety and property of the Course Providers, other Users and the public;
- in connection with a change in ownership or control of the Site including, without limitation, any merger, acquisition, reorganization, restructuring or any other transfer of the Course Providers' assets, or a transfer of the Site's operations.
We may share statistical or aggregate information with you, with other Users and with third parties such as existing or prospective clients or investors. For example, we may reveal how many Users are registered or connected to the Site at a given time. This information is anonymous, does not contain any personal information and is intended to help us grow and improve the Site for the benefit of all our Users.
